Check-ins
Creating check-in templates
Field types, conditional logic, frequencies, defaults, and how template snapshots protect your history.
Templates define what a check-in asks. Build them once under Templates, assign them per client, and Tyzra handles the schedule.
Choose a frequency
Every template has one frequency: daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly. A client can have one template per frequency - a daily wellness check alongside a weekly review works fine; two weekly templates don't.
Weekly templates default to including photos; daily ones don't (you can toggle either way per template).
Field types
A template holds up to 50 fields, from five types:
- Text - open answers ("Biggest win this week?")
- Number - with a unit and optional min/max ("Bodyweight, kg")
- Scale - 1-10 with colour-coded answers ("Sleep quality")
- Yes/No - quick binaries ("Any training pain?")
- Multiple choice - single or multi-select, with an optional free-text "other"
Each field can be required, carry helper text, and set a trend direction - whether up, down, or neither is good. That drives the colour of week-over-week deltas in review: a dropping number shows green for a client cutting and red for a client bulking.
Conditional logic
Fields can show only when an earlier answer matches - ask "describe the pain" only when "Any training pain?" is yes. Clients see a short form; you still get depth when it matters.
Defaults
Mark a template as the default for its frequency and every new client is assigned it automatically on joining (each frequency has at most one default - setting a new one unsets the old).
Editing templates safely
Edit freely: every submission stores a snapshot of the template exactly as the client saw it. Historical check-ins always display the questions that were actually asked, even if today's template looks completely different. Templates that have been used can't be deleted while assigned - unassign first.
