Setting your cancellation & refund policy
Tell clients what happens when they cancel, and how Tyzra handles subscription billing and refunds.
Clients paying for a recurring package should know what to expect when they cancel. Tyzra shows a cancellation & refund policy on your payment page, and you can set your own wording.
How Tyzra bills
It helps to know how the billing actually works, so your policy matches it:
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month until they're cancelled.
- Cancelling stops future charges but is not immediate - the client keeps access until the end of the period they've already paid for (there's no proration).
- Payments already made aren't refunded automatically. If you want to refund a client as a goodwill gesture, you do that yourself from your Stripe dashboard - Tyzra never issues refunds on your behalf.
This is the standard model for online coaching, and it's what most platforms do.
Set your policy
Open the Payments page and fill in the Cancellation & refund policy box. It's shown to clients on your payment page, right where they decide to buy.
If you leave it blank, Tyzra shows a sensible default that matches the billing behaviour above, so your page is never missing this information.
Tips
- Keep it short and specific. If you offer anything beyond the default (say, a first-week money-back guarantee), spell out exactly what qualifies and how a client claims it.
- Make sure your policy matches what you'll actually do - if you promise refunds, remember you issue those manually in Stripe.
- The policy applies to all your packages. If you sell very different products (a one-off challenge vs. ongoing coaching), write wording that covers both.
