Getting started

Importing client history

Bring check-in metrics, workout history, photos, plans, and nutrition data into Tyzra from your existing spreadsheets.

Switching platforms shouldn't mean losing years of client data. Each client's profile has an import page for their history, and your Nutrition page has import tools for foods and meal plans. All of them read your existing spreadsheets - upload the .xlsx directly (or a CSV), pick the right sheet, and check the preview before anything is written.

Check-in metrics

Import historical check-in data - bodyweight, measurements, sleep, or any numeric metric you've been tracking. Up to 10,000 rows and 80 columns per import, and messy coaching sheets are fine: weekly blocks, repeated headers, and averages rows are handled, and rows with dates are picked out automatically.

The importer reads your headers, so what you tracked comes in as the right kind of field:

  • Units in parentheses carry over - "Weight (kg)" charts in kg.
  • Rating columns like "Hunger (scale 1 - 5)" become 1-5 sliders.
  • "Sleep Duration (hr:mins)" columns become durations that read back as hours and minutes.
  • Calories, protein, carbs, and fat columns can go to the client's food log instead of check-in fields, so macros live where their targets are.

Dates can be written YYYY-MM-DD, MM/DD/YYYY, or DD/MM/YYYY. The preview shows exactly which rows will import, and dims any that won't - with the reason.

Once imported, the data feeds the same trend charts, target bands, and sparklines as native check-ins, so a brand-new Tyzra client can have a two-year bodyweight curve on day one.

Workout history

Import up to 10,000 rows of past training data per client - one row per exercise, grouped into sessions by date. Historical sessions appear in the client's training history and exercise trends, so estimated-1RM and volume charts include the work they did before Tyzra.

Workout plans and exercise library

Current programmes come in too: upload a plan spreadsheet and session blocks with exercise, sets, reps, tempo, and rest columns are detected automatically. Your exercise library can be imported in bulk from a sheet of exercise names - up to 10,000 exercises, with duplicates of ones you already have skipped.

Nutrition

A food database imports up to 1,000 custom foods your clients can search when logging. Meal plan sheets - a Food column plus calories or P/F/C, with days laid out side by side - come in as plans of up to 7 days, ready to assign.

Progress photos

Upload up to 100 past photos per client, dated so they slot into the photo timeline chronologically. Photos are compressed and stored with the same privacy guarantees as native uploads - private storage, signed URLs, EXIF stripped.

Formatting tips

  • Check-in, workout, and photo history import one client at a time, from that client's profile. Exercise, food, and plan imports are yours as the coach - imported once, usable across clients.
  • The preview maps columns before committing anything, so you can untick columns, rename labels, and check what will be skipped before it writes.
  • Rows the importer can't read are dimmed in the preview with the reason - usually a date it couldn't parse.

Free migration

If you'd rather hand it over: migration of clients, check-in history, and photos is free on every plan. Contact us and we'll move your spreadsheets in for you.
