Creating check-in forms
Build the questions your clients answer: answer types, follow-up questions, photos, and how editing a form protects your history.
On this page
A check-in form is the set of questions a client answers. Build forms under Check-in forms, give them to clients, and set each client's schedule (see Scheduling check-ins).
Start from the default or a blank form
New accounts start with Progress Check-in, the form the example client uses. Duplicate it and change the questions, or start from a blank form.
Daily or scheduled
A form is either a daily form (a log the client fills in each day, such as a weigh-in or a few quick questions) or a scheduled check-in that's due every 1 to 52 weeks. A client can have more than one form, for example a weekly check-in, a mid-week check-in and a daily log. Daily logs aren't reviewed on their own: their entries show inside the check-in that covers those days.
Answer types
A form holds up to 50 questions, from six answer types:
- Text for open answers ("Biggest win this week?")
- Number, with a unit and an optional range ("Bodyweight, kg")
- Scale, with the range you choose ("Sleep quality")
- Duration, entered in hours and minutes ("Sleep last night")
- Yes/No ("Any training pain?")
- Multiple choice, single or multi-select, with an optional "Other"
Each question can be required and carry helper text. A number can say which direction is good, which decides how a change is coloured in the review. Mark one number as bodyweight, and the review and the Coaching Timeline read it as the client's weight.
Follow-up questions
A question can show only when an earlier answer matches, so you ask "Where's the pain?" only when "Any training pain?" is yes.
Photos
Turn photos on for a form and choose the poses it asks for, up to 20 a check-in. Start from a set of poses, or, for one client, from the poses they already send. See Progress photos.
Editing a form
Edit freely. Each check-in keeps the questions exactly as the client saw them, so past check-ins never change when you edit the form.
